Our Defensive Back Training at Elite Speed of all ages (Youth-Professional) offers high level instruction to give them a cutting edge over their opponent come next football season. Athletes will be guided in the right direction in order to become a superior defensive threat. Our training is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of the specific movement patterns of the position and illustrate a clear understanding and education of how and why.

During our Defensive Back training sessions athletes can expect to be challenged mentally and physically through intensive techniques and teaching. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and focusing on the small nuances of mind and body. We ensure that athletes understand specific movements and how they directly correlate to in game situations.

Elite Speed DefensiveBack Training

● Proper body balance/stance and how that influences your back pedal
● The fundamentals of how to break in various ways, i.e. t-step and bicycle/run out break
● Proper transition when going through lateral, vertical and bi-lateral movements in drills, i.e. flipping hips
● Feet quickness and quick twitch
● Hand eye coordination when braking downhill to intercept the ball
● 1 on 1s against Wide Receiver
● Efficiently changing direction in uncomfortable situations

Elite Speed Defensive Back Coach

Coach Tucker is an East St. Louis native who attended Belleville West High School (2009-2013), becoming a standout football and track & field athlete. Although Tucker was an All-Conference athlete in both sports, the majority of his accolades came from football, where he earned honors as an All-State, All-Metro, and Metro-East Player of the Year as a linebacker. Tucker went on to play football at the Division 1 level with North Dakota State University Bison. He was an all-conference football player and was a part of four national championships, as well as a 55-5 record during his four years there. He was also given professional opportunities with the NFL, CFL, and YourCall Football.
